If you read this blog long enough, you'll see that I'm only concerned about a few things: movies/filmmaking/art, peace, and Apple computers. Yesterday was one for my Apple computer loving self. We got our shipment of new eMacs for SAY Sí. It's better than Christmas when an 18-wheeler pulls up with pallets of computers for you! I just love unpacking and setting up a new computer. The new eMacs (6 of them) look like some kind of cool computer pod from the future. I'll have to post a picture later. Another thing that just amazes me is that the truck pulled up at about 2pm and by 4pm I had lovingly unpacked, registered, and fully configured all of them using Apple's Netboot technology. At 4pm they were all being used by students to make websites, work in PhotoShop, and create animations with Flash. We have a new person on our staff that has used PC's in the past. She teases me by saying that I sound like an Apple commercial. I know I do because I'm excited, like any artist is, to be using the perfect tool to create my art. When you have just the right tool, it truly becomes an extention of your hand and mind and not something you have to think or worry about. It is inspiring because of the possibilities it makes available. If you haven't looked at Apple computers in a while, do it now.
