At 4:45am I had a great idea for this screenplay I’m working on. I thought to myself that I should get up and write it down. Instead, I decided to commit it to memory before I fell back to sleep. It didn’t work. I woke up again about a half hour later and realized I forgot what the idea was. I remember a little of it. I remember that the story opens with the protagonist, Cosmo, being chased by bullies on the way home from school. He ducks into an alleyway to get away and… I don’t remember what happens next. I think I had some whole deal perfectly worked out but it’s evaporated. Maybe I just think I had some deal worked out. I’m going with that.

More stuff you should know about me: I was on a nuclear sub in the Navy and I used to work in a grocery store. In December 1993 I did the Landmark Forum and I’ve been able to make a living as an artist since 1995.

Movie ideas! I've been working on coming up with them all day. This morning I worked with my two middle school groups. They are planning out their films that they be making over the next 4 - 6 weeks. Then this afternoon I worked with my high school group on ideas for their big film that they will make this summer. We brainstormed about 30 different ideas the other afternoon and today we combined and revised them. Now we've got several variations of three main ideas.

After I got home this evening I rented some DVD's. "Hey Arnold: The Movie", for my kids, "Amelie" and "24 Hour Party People". Hey Arnold was cute - basically a 75 minute episode. I'll let you about the others later.

Did I mention that I love movies?

By the way - the garage door man finally came this morning. I was at work so Rebecca delt with him.
