Very Nice

I just finished installing the latest Mac operating system. So far it's really great. It's much faster than 10.2 on my old 400MHz G3 iMac. The new Preview application can rip through a pdf in no time. I bet I'll use that expose thing at least a 100 times a day. The new finder window sidebar is pretty nifty also. Oh yeah. Fast user switching! That old iMac doesn't have enough video ram to display the rotating cube animation but now my wife and daughters and switch users without quitting applications in about 2 seconds. That's super cool. So what's broken? (the realities of installing new software the night it comes out) I had to disable a 3rd party app - Synergy - because it disabled the lower case "a" on my keyboard. Macfixit has a workaround for Palm desktop hotsync. And iTunes can't be used by two users at the same time on the same computer - in other words, if you have iTunes running, log out and log in as another user, the new user can't use iTunes until you go back and quit it under the first user! That needs to change. Well that's it for now - got to get some sleep.
