verdi.net

Last December I lucked out while registering a domain for someone. I discovered that the real estate agent in California who owned michaelverdi.com had let it go. I happily snatched it right up. Of course, I'd love to own verdi.com but alas, it's way too famous of a name for that to happen. It was once being auctioned with a starting bid of $5000. Today, I got an e-mail letting me know that verdi.net was up for auction. I clicked the link just to see where it was starting... $1050! What a bargain. The part of this that really bugs me is that neither of these domains are being used. Someone is just sitting on them and trying to cash in.
