Vacation Projects
I'm trying to watch as many movies as I can. It started Wednesday with movie day at SAY Sí. We watched: La Jette, Adaptation, American Beauty, and Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Movie. Then at home I saw Catch Me If You Can and 8 1/2.
I also started working on my screenplay again. I moved my first draft deadline to August 1 a while ago. I'm making progress and It's going to be really hard to make that deadline. I'll keep you posted.
Yesterday I was organizing my closet and I found the boxes with all of our CD's. I decided to rip them all to AAC and then archive them on DVD. So I've been feeding my iMac CD's for the last day and I've got almost 8GB of music on there (most of that was on it already).
I'm also going to finish this book I've been working on for a month now. It's called Permutation City by Greg Egan. It was written in 1994 and deals with a "Matrix-like" world where people have started to have themselves scanned and run as copies. What I'm enjoying is that since it's a novel it has much more time to go into all of the possibilities and implications of such a world than a movie.
