More Matrix Reloaded (No Spoilers)

You may have read some reviews of the film that were less than great. Here are what I think are the main issues that are bothering people. The first movie was made to stand-alone in case they never got the opportunity to make the sequels. Matrix Reloaded is the middle of the story and doesn't stand on it's own. It has no ending. I can see how this could be frustrating (only six more months until Revolutions). The fight scenes are spectacular but may be a little too long - or maybe not, I'll have to see it again. That said, there is a lot of talking in the first half of the film. Although, I have to say, this movie made me think a lot more than the first - that's a good thing. The scene with the French guy and his girlfriend Persephone - what is that about? I'm not sure, I'll have to see it again. That scene near the end where Neo has all of those TV screens behind him and he's talking to the guy with the white hair - there is too much in this scene, I'll have to see it again (and again). The special effects are great and I can tell that they took much more time and money to create but they are still in the same vein as the effects in the first movie. What the first movie had over this one is the element of surprise. This time we are ready for them and the impact isn't as great.

So does this movie suck? Hell no! It's freakin' awesome!
