I’ve been thinking of another way to talk about what videoblogging is and I’ve come up with this continuum. I guess you can look at this whole graph (click the image to see the whole thing on the wiki page) as web video with videoblogging spanning an area inside of that. This is a work in progress. Feel free to work on it over at the vlogumentary wiki. You can download the original layered photoshop file from the vlogumentary SpinXpress group.

I see it’s a work in progress, so I’ll just make a suggestion…there should be a point where all possibilities connect.
I’m curious… what is cinematic hypertext? I wonder if my website qualifies. I don’t call it anything other than a website, but it is a mixture of text and video. Where would it fit? Is it cinematic hypertext?

Yeah this thing needs more documentation. I’ll work on doing that on the wiki. By Cinematic Hypertext I’m referring to the kinds of stuff that Adrian Miles is working on.
Nelson, I guess it’s possible to have all possibilities connect but I was working from what I know to be out there. Is there an example you have in mind?
I guess what I had in mind was something that encompasses everything you could come up with. I’m not one for labels or definitions so if there was a spot on this graph where everything converged, I’d want to be on that spot.
Hey Mike. I really loved this diagram. You had some cool ideas so I thought that I would bookmark the blog you mentioned so I could read this later.
