    Diddo man! Diddo!!!
I’ve been getting a bit turned off by the newbie vloggers… (none to mention). It seems like some vlog to get mentioned by the media. We didn’t get a freak 8 months ago when we all started (all twenty of us). I vlog because of the relationships. That’s it!!! Nothing more. Because I’ve met some great people through vlogging. Sorry for the rant.

    thanks verdi for the mention.
i can feel that more than a mention in any major media publication goddamnit.

Thoughtful, sensitive, reflective. Nice piece, Michael.

That was great Michael. I really enjoyed that. You showed me many more perspectives on video blogging. It kinda makes me want to start another blog and try some different stuff than I’m doing now. Congrats.

My God, that is so true. Couldn’t be more profound.

Nice. I like the ‘of the moment’ feeling of many of the vlogs I’ve come across. They definitely make for a unique way for people to experience part of your life or the world as you experience it.

    Really. True.

I am sitting here eating a bag of popcorn while watching your new video… true story ;-) Thanks for the mention, Verdi! Although I have been uploading “homemade” videos to the Net for about eight years, I love the new vlogging format. Thanks for providing the resources to get people started. Good-bye text, hello video communication!

This touched my soul. Electrik, a single tear rolls down my cheek.

Thanks for simply reminding us all what it is all about. I see the explosion of excitement sometimes leading us away from the first notion of what got us excited in the first place. All you need, sometimes, is just a simple reminder what got you interested in the first place! Hope that makes sense :)

Nice. Very nice summary of why people should vlog.

    Thanks,

    Right on Michael.

cheers for the feedback and .. i agree with ryanne, this made me feel warmer than any media quote. it’s all about building these relationships.. (p.s. i enjoyed the cringe worthy ’spectacle’ pun .. however unintentional it was!!)

i feel so warm and fuzzy brother.
i’ve gotta dig out our little couch session with you and Dylan. sigh. love is all around.

also i somehow hadn’t seen any of the videos you linked to (bad chuck). now i feel so nourished. nourished.

I so agree on the part about relationships. As a newby, I have already began to conversate with people from all over the world.

Thanks for that. This is the type of definition of videoblogging I am looking for. Something that just works and creates it’s own context so that it can’t possibly be innapropriate. I hope that made sense.

I feel like I am on the lonely edge of the vlogosphere because I have not really developed any relationships like you have (Except that I harrass Chuck all the time… he’ll be IP banning me soon hhaha), but videos like this let you inside for a moment, and it’s nice.

Back to the edge for now.

Made me smile at the end– I guess that’s also what it’s about. Sharing yourself, your thoughts and causing another human being to actually feel that. Very nice Michael.

I think I like the yin more than the yang in this case. nicely put. ps. i still think one of my favorites was when you went to visit your daughter in school in art class. i hope that was you, actually, now that i think about it. it was a while ago.

    Yin and Yang:

This was a great piece. I have much more respect for you after seeing this. Did not like the other post of Yang but that is the beauty of art. It is in the eye of the beholder…..

  22. Posted July 24, 2005 at 9:39 am | Permalink

I loved both these posts. The Yang made me laugh and the Yin made me think…

    Thanks!

Really great post. I, as well, think this is a GREAT way to share experiences with your children. I’m so glad I discovered this way of communicating.

    IT’s the new punk rock.

The time is now to turn the lenses inward and scan ourselves whole heartedly. To begin projecting meaningful raw reflections of a timeless future. As transparent human beings, we will become the archives of revolution, the evidence of integrity. ThankU for the energy VERDI.
