Two weeks ago when I attended the NAMAC conference in Philadelphia, I stayed with Jen at her apartment in Fishtown. It’s beautiful in the way only an old urban area can be. We don’t have places like this in San Antonio. It reminds me of where I grew up in New Jersey.

This is a clip of some of the dancing that went on until about one o’clock in the morning. Earlier in the evening, they gave the award for Outstanding Media Artist to Loni Ding. I confess I’d never heard of her until last night. I was so impressed by all that she’s done; she’s an amazing woman. I hope that one day I’m able to make an impact on the world that’s even half of what she’s had. Click here to watch her acceptance speech (about 17min., 62MB).

This is probably the 3rd or 4th short introduction to videoblogging mashup that I’ve made. It seems like every time these get harder and harder to do. Especially when you try to make them this short. I always feel like I’ve left way too much out and cut away all context for the things that I left in. In this case, since the NAMAC panel (Digital Creativity) where I’ll present this video is only 8 hours away and I need to get some sleep, I’m going to stop messing with it. I’ve got a couple of my all-time favorites, some art, some anarchy, and a music theme. What do you think?
