BTW, this video features another looptacular soundtrack created by me.

There was a dinner and award ceremony last night to wrap up the NAMAC conference. This is a clip of some of the dancing that went on until about one o’clock in the morning. Earlier in the evening, they gave the award for Outstanding Media Artist to <a href="http://www.cetel.org/ding.html"target="_blank">Loni Ding. I confess I’d never heard of her until last night. I was so impressed by all that she’s done; she’s an amazing woman. I hope that one day I’m able to make an impact on the world that’s even half of what she’s had. <a href="http://michaelverdi.com/video/loniding.mov"target="_blank">Click here to watch her acceptance speech (about 17min., 62MB).

This is probably the 3rd or 4th short introduction to videoblogging mashup that I’ve made. It seems like every time these get harder and harder to do. Especially when you try to make them this short. I always feel like I’ve left way too much out and cut away all context for the things that I left in. In this case, since the <a href="http://www.takingliberties2005.org/content.php"target="_blank">NAMAC panel (Digital Creativity) where I’ll present this video is only 8 hours away and I need to get some sleep, I’m going to stop messing with it. I’ve got a couple of my all-time favorites, some art, some anarchy, and a music theme. What do you think? Also, if you want leave a link to one of you’re favorite videoblogs (remember to link to the permanant link of the post – not to the video directly).

Here are the links for the videos I used:

Update
Here is <a href="http://michaelverdi.com/video/digitalcreativity.mov"target="_blank">my presentation from the Digital Creativity panel this morning. The video is 16:45 long and almost 60MB.
This is the <a href="http://namac2005.blogspot.com/"target="_blank">videoblog that I’ve set up to post the video that we create as I teach people here about videoblogging.
