It’s been around for about a year now but I’ve just really gotten excited about Seesmic. In this video thread I talk a little bit about my reluctance to embrace things like Seesmic but I also think this thread is an example of what makes it great. Here’s an interesting discussion with people I didn’t know about until 2 days ago. The more I think about it the more I come to the conclusion that if the aim is to be social and/or if the aim is for things to be available then I really don’t care much about the branding or TOS. I’m much more interested in the immediacy. So go create an account, search for “verdi” and follow me so we can play. They’re working on a new version that’s not one monolithic flash app and they’ve got a decent mobile site at m.seesmic.com (which will be cooler when the iPhone can record video).
Update: I just noticed that the embeded video is also a mini version of the site. You can log (or create an account) and record a response right here. Pretty cool.

Thank you for your good comments. I will love to hear your comments on how we can improve it, we are getting close to launch the new site which I hope you will like as well. I am pleased to hear you start to find it useful. Let me know if I can help in anyway.
Hi Loic,
Thanks for the comment. The one thing that seems to be missing for me (or I can’t find how to set it up) is that I think I only get an email notification when someone replies directly to one of my videos and not when someone replies to a thread that I’m part of. I’ve logged in to find that the conversation has progressed without me so to speak.
Ditto, Verdi: the notification process needs to be more like Facebook’s. Did I just say that? Yup.
