My memory of breakfast in England, every day for a month, no matter what town we were in: One fried egg with the yolk perfectly in the center, looking, by the end of the month, like a big, jaundiced eyeball, staring at you. A couple pieces of stewed tomato. Possibly some porridge, very plain. A piece of cold toast. If you were lucky, a bit of bacon or sausage. If you were very lucky the bacon or sausage would be hot. Generally, we were never lucky enough for any meat to be hot, so I didn't eat it. Tea, and scathing looks of purest annoyance if you dared ask for coffee. Give me IHOP! Just watched again.
