Hmm... this may sound bad... but I don't care... i'm a complete SL outsider... I don't get it at all... not a conscious choice... just don't have a computer fast enough to do SL, and not going to upgrade just for SL. Maybe someday soon.

On a side note, Lisa Rein is working with us at mefeedia. She's our SL liason. She's starting to do all this wicked stuff with SL to mefeedia and mefeedia to sl integration.

Right now we're just focusing on aggregating media from SL... playlists, guides, and how-to's on recording and integrating SL into your vlog. see: mefeedia.com/blog this week. Lisa's already done three posts for vbweek2007.

Later the net step will move to getting video's from the vlogosphere back into SL.

The idea being one day you'll be able to subscribe to all the videos on SXSW Second Life and get them to your ipod/fireant/democracy... and not only that but you'll be able to go to a place in second life and view through some sort of kiosk or portable widget all the latest videos and/or audio podcasts on that even in that space. The big idea is a SL TV and radio network done with video and audio podcasting.

Then again... I've never been in SL... so I'm not even a NEWB... what do I know. :)

I hope this will help me understand better all you people's obsession with second life at the least. ;)

Pretty soon we'll all be hanging in virtual space, this guy would be cool to be hanging with as long as he didn't strech out his arms to fast.
