Ok, so it hit me like a ton of bricks when i watched this. It’s all about building context. if i shared this with another friend, they might only see this as a cute video by an odd man who talks to birds. Likewise, if they only saw last year’s video, they might say “vlogging is home movies”. But taken together, along with a wonderful year of friendships and great times, we have built, through sharing, a context around this that is so much more than “home movies”. Thanks for that lesson Michael.

“…a really, really, really, really, really, really, really big fish!”
Too cute.
The seagulls back in Michigan talk to you all the time. Guess it’s a regional thing. Cute kids! Cheers.
ha – I loved this!
Seagulls are everywhere!! We even have them all the way up here in ND. Not by such a beautiful environment though. More like, by a McDonnalds.

Your girls are growing up so fast! And I love the whole trying to interview the seagull. You think it was the same one?
I love the descriptions Lauren uses. It’s great to talk to kids that age.
BTW, I think that seagull is an asshole. You are just wasting your breath talking to him.
just missing the seagulls – story of my life -btw, I love Lauren’s short hair, it makes her that much more precocious-

Must be nice! Hope you are having a great time. Come home soon!
That was definitely the same seagull. He wouldn’t have talked to you a little otherwise. Hope you all are enjoying yourselves.
I loved the seagull! Where was that filmed again?
That darn seagull sure don’t like the paparazzi!
oh he talked back this time!
too funny
I’ve always wanted to go there… but it seems driving from Galveston ain’t that close.
Beautiful shots of the seagull.
