We took a few days off and went to Mustang Island on the Texas coast. Yesterday morning I tried to interview a seagull. They’re kind of camera shy.

Seagulls just aren’t known to be good communicators. I learned the hard way…but I can’t talk about it since the divorce is pending.
They call him, “Verdi, paparazzi to the birds.”
What a riot, Verdi.
I liked it when he stopped after you, and started to run again.
Seagulls here are agressive like in “Finding Nemo”. Maybe if you had food he would be more responsive.
I loved it, I should try that with the caterpillars eating my plants.
Boy did he play you. Always knew exactly how far to keep away. Love it.
E.L. Woody would be proud.
I was just waiting for you to ask him abouot RSS 2.0 with enclosures…I think we could get a whole series of these…get people to collaborate to do “The wildlife Interviews” 2 thumbs up!
next time, try interviewing Mr. Seagull near his nest. I’m sure he’d have lots to say while he dive bombs you.
i’m in an airport in washington dc
and i just laughed my butt off.
that was so funny.
Hmmm, maybe he knew you were really going to ask him about that affair he had with the transsexual flamingo in Florida last year…
Boy, that’s what I call a “bird’s eye view!”
Very funny!
just get some bread or something and they are a lot more willing to talk – that’s my experience … entertaining video
Yeah, I’ve had similar problems with fish. And republicans. I think it requires higher thinking abilities.
Verdi, I think you should tame the seagulls and recruit them as videographers so you can get good aerial shots.
It worked during WWII…
laugh and a half! When I was in Monacco a couple of weeks ago the gulls wouldn’t stop approaching me must me! social seagulls must be a Euro thing.

oh that was so great. hahaha.
you might make a good paparazzi.
That was hilarious. How do you say “no comment” in seagull? “How fast can you go?” Priceless!
Hilarious!!!
Hey, I was on Mustang Island last week, too!
But I filmed the pelicans as well.
Blog to come…
That was ridiculously hilarious and you are way to intent on getting that interview Michael. Its probably for the better though, I bet that seagull is a huge fan of H.264 despite its shortfalls.
omg. it’s like 4am in CA and i’m trying to stop from busting out laughing. ha!
It looks to me like a visit to seagull communications school might be in order…
All though last I heard… it’s for the birds…
DU
